Live Light

This mantra calls to my life right now.  I came across this the morning of an annual event in South Lake Tahoe where hundreds gathered with the goal to bike ride 100 miles around this iconic lake.  This event is so inspiring as it speaks symbolically to traveling light (to get more distance),  to living lighter in mind and finding beauty in your physical spaces that truly inspire and nurture your heart and our soul.  We need to do our best to make conscious choices in our lives that will leave us lighter so we can actually get more out of life.
I particularly like the last two statements:  Be the Light.  Spread the Light.  There's an irony that when you are more inner-directed, you lose sight of the needs and concerns of the world around you.  I think when a person makes an investment to their own self-awareness, you actually begin to resonant on a higher level and are more readily inspired to become the change in the world.  It's the intimate understanding of the needs for all.  And out of that, is the true light.  Remember, excess does not necessarily mean abundance.
